Looking for a way to kick off your career while discovering different departments in our headquarters ? Say no more. During these 2 years, you’ll be taking on different roles or assignments in 3 of our business units. Apply your knowledge in several domains like finance, strategy, sales, digital marketing, human resources, IT and many more.

Operational track

Are you into people management, process improvement, change management and so on? Do you see yourself working in the operations of our sorting or mail centers, or in retail management? Great! During these 2 years, you’ll be taking on different roles or assignments roles in 3 teams. For example, you’ll work in one of our sorting centers where we sort-out thousands of parcels and letters daily, join the daily distribution operations with our mailmen, or help manage our post offices.

Sharon Van Impe

Sharon applied for a job at bpost straight after her finals. “I wanted to work at a company that has a social impact. The trucks on the road, a post office at every corner, the red mailboxes and the mail carriers at every door. bpost is everywhere.” Sharon started a traineeship in project and process support at a bpost sorting centre. “My project was immediately very diverse and challenging. Thanks to this role I got to know the company really quickly. I have always loved human resources a lot, so I was given the opportunity to take on the role of HR Field Advisor. I’m incredibly grateful to bpost for giving me the opportunity to make this switch. It’s also what I expect from a traineeship: you can find out what you’re good at and what you most want to do.”

My traineeship experience at bpost is truly enriching, particularly thanks to the rotation system that allows spending 8 months in three different departments: distribution, sorting, and transport.

Ismail ~ Group Trainee ~ Operation track

I started with distribution, where I had the opportunity to do everything from delivering mail as a postman to managing about twenty temporary workers for parcel distribution during the end-of-year period. I also took on the role of Team Leader for a team of over 30 postmen. It was an intense operational experience, with real responsibilities and challenges that I greatly enjoyed!”

I kicked off my Corporate Traineeship in the Strategy & Transformation department, right at the heart of our big decisions.

It gave me a great overview of the company, let me work on impactful projects, and helped me build my internal network. For my second rotation, I dove into the HR department and teamed up with the Employer Branding manager to improve the onboarding process for all bpost employees. Both rotations really boosted my analytical and people skills, which will be valuable for the rest of my career.”
